Flow Performance Flow Bench systems, ZERO back up service

Post by Vette »

Just wondering if there's anyone else out there that's had problems with
Flow Performance "www.flowperformance.com" in regards to replying to
emails. They don't have any problems replying to anyone that's purchasing
their product, but it seems as though you're all on your own when something
goes wrong. Their product is extremely good. I just can't figure out why
they would jeopardise their business by totally ignoring their customers. I
have warned Flow Performance I would post on the forums, but still no
action, so they've left me no choice. I presently have a $599 brain box that
has gone in to error mode & I can't sort it out. They have no phone to
contact them, only Email. Very poor show.

Probably they already have your $$$'s would be my guess?

PTS 40" Digital manometer with 3 sensors not 2 for $325.00 with forum support, email and phone number to the owner if need be . . . lots of satisfied customers :)

Sorry to hear you are getting no support from FP, the forum has more than a few posts on this subject and they probably show up in a Google search. I myself would be one of them and that's why we developed the PTS Digital Manometer

I don't know if this helps, but the listed owner of Flow Performance is:
John J. Pearson
201 Castle Ct.
Novato, CA 94945-3402

It looks like this is his private residence. It is amazing what you can find on the internet when you dig a little. No phone number unless you want to pay a little. Just go to http://www.peoplefinders.com and if you pay them a small fee they will give you the phone number. They say they have it.

I have been on the run around with them this summer!

I am well versed in their products I may be able to help.

I also had to send mine back this summer and have them fix the fp-1 out of spite I took a picture of the inside of the box. I would say open that sucker up and see if any of the breadboard connections has came loose. nice huh!

I use a FP-2.0 tube and a FP-1 processor

http://www.flowperformance.com/docs.html

also if you notice that they scratched off the number on the big chip. if your has #'s please let me know so I can reverse engineer it and sell the one that I currently use. J/k

Hi, Thanks guys for your help. I've got a friend comming over to check it out over the week end. He may pull the lid off the brain box...we'll see what happens.
If I try to phone FP, he's very unlikely to answer it. I tried phoning John "many" times a fair while back, & he refuses to answer it....nowadays it goes to an answering machine but it won't allow you to leave a message. I'll see how I go.

Cause I'm in a %^&* mode today I'll show you some of what's inside my box to compare what you get for the money :)

This is an early model PCB and has been changed slightly to revision 1 many units ago.

I'm sick of hearing people spend good money and getting shit on by poor customer service and people calling me asking to help them with issues with a FP product

I have had a few issues with my setup due to some end user problems or DAQ problem and I've replaced those DM's at my cost! That is the way I want to be treated as a customer and it's how I treat my customers. :)
