SF300E with PTS digital manometer,calbration

Post by xe5800 »

Okay so here I go first off I would like to thank Bruce and the team for the help I have received already.

It has been a long winded process to finally have something to post to see if what im doing is right.

I will show the results below of what figures I got from my bench with and without the electronics.
Okay so I have used ranges 5 and 6 on my bench as that's were I started.
so the ranges on the bench go like this.

in ex
1 24.2 25.7 cfm
2 48.2 50.1
3 100 104
4 201 208
5 299 313
6 396 415 These figures are at 25" in book says x .997 for in and 1.003 for ex to get to 28".

range 5 is 3.059"
range 6 is 3.490" orifice in the bench. All testing below is at 28"

With 200cfm pts plate mounted straight to bench on intake mode range 5(3.059''),
no electronics reads ... bugger didn't right that one down ,shit.

With DM 200cfm pts and .61DC =200.31cfm.
DM 300cfm pts and .61DC=298.43cfm.
no elect 300cfm plate reads =292.1cfm

Okay the rest of the testing was in ex mode.
Range 5 ex, 3.059"
300 cfm plate .61dc=285 cfm
.64dc=298.58.
no elect =292.1

200cfm plate .61dc= 190.9
.64dc= 200.4
no elect =194.6

Range 6 ex, 3.490"

300cfmplate.61dc = 279.6cfm
.64dc = 295.01
.65dc = 298.1

200cfmplate .61dc = 190.65
.64dc = 199.8
no elect =195.6cfm

Think that's about it I have more intake stuff but didn't bring in in with me, but can redo it if needs be.

So I guess I would like peoples thoughts on what I should be using as a dc?
at the moment im using .61dc on the intakes range 5 is half a cfm high and range 6 1.5 low.

And the ex is as high as a kite is this normal? .64dc range 5 and .65dc for range 6?

Any help to make sense of all this would be tops!
With out the digital manometer on in it reads upto 8 cfm low in some spots.

I have read about the sf stuff in here, but wanted to calibrate it right so I know what im seeing is true.

Sorry for the long post but just wanted you guys opinions.

Thanks again guys and gals any more stuff for me to test on it im happy to just tell me how.

Troy. ;)
