Air temperature

Post by b.shaw »

Hi All,

I am working on a new project, blowing this time instead of sucking. I notice the air coming out of the flowbench is much hotter than the air going in (not real surprising). Which air temp should I be using for my calcs, ingoing air temp or outgoing air temp? This is a pitot style bench with liquid manometers.

Thanks,

Bill

You need to measure the tempriture of the Air going through the Pito Tube.

Which would be very close to ambient in this case, since it is sucking past the pitot.

Thanks again.

Oh ??
I thought you said this was to be a blow type bench.
Also known as the infamous "Warpspeed" on some other Forums.
