Superflow SF 120 or build yourself?

Post by RomanoDuc »

Hi Guys,
I'm in the early stages of making my own flow bench.
Now suddenly someone offers me a superflow SF120 with flowcom 1 hour drive from my house.
I had already resigned myself to building one myself, but a ready-made superflow is also attractive, the SF120 does 160 cfm at 10" on the ex and 185 cfm at 10" on the intake while with a build it yourself machine you can do cfm 350 at 28"
The superflow SF 120 with flowcom costs $3000, is that reasonable?
I want to use it for a 250cc single cylinder and 34mm carburettor
What would you do?
I must decide quick because the superflow is not offered on the market yet.

If you wanna get started buying the SF120 is a good choice if it doesn't work for you then you always can build a bench while still using the SF120, then sell it later on.

Thanks Bruce,
My thoughts also.
So i bought the superflow SF120 with flowcom, it’s expensive but a good choice.
The machine came complete with flowcom software, cables, original books, spare tubes and liquid.
It’s a good start with flowbench technique and hopefully good to learn it this way.
