My friend, Bill, who is a driving instructor at Miller Motor Sports Park has driven a couple of this guys cars at the track. The last one was a replica of a Cobra Daytona coupe with an all out 427 Ford engine in it. In the back of my mine it had a polished body and dull strips. Bill said they are quite good rides.

Somebody in that neck of the woods also built a replica of a 37 for roadster out of copper and it was polished. I will try to find a picture of it.

I could not find the picture of the copper roadster but here is a polished Cobra (not the Daytona though) and you will notice I marked my buddy Bill with a red arrow in the background.

Here is an original 1964 Ford Fairlane 427 Thunderbolt. It is in the Miller Motorsport Park museum. It was #77 I think and only has about 10 miles on it or so. This is one of my all time favorite cars.

This guy has some real metal talent sorking for him, most likely X aircraft guy's.

The '40 ad says "Although the body is pure copper, the car weighs less than the GT and in theory it should be faster to 100mph."
I'm betting the larger frontal area (eyeballed) and aerodynamics will disprove that theory, but that is just a theory of mine. The question is, the thing runs so why just postulate theories, run it and say so! What I would really like to see is a thin coat of old fashioned Candy Apple Red sprayed over that shiny copper! I guess if I wanted to pay for it, they would do that for me!

That was the one that was out there I am sure. I am surprised I don't have a photo. I remember a guy standing by it with a special polish towel and if you got too close he would flip you with the towel

Not sure if any of you in the states have seen this, big auction in Pierce Nebraska, Chevy dealer that closed his doors in mid 60's old stock of unsold cars. Me and a couple of buddies are going to try and go to the auction to spectate, should be a good motorcycle trip.

even my wife and daughter, who care less about cars, said WHOA! that was one cool load of cars. I would have been giddy! to say the least to have found them.

I am attaching some pictures of a car my wife and I drove past on the way home today. Margie did not see it at first and I said "Whoa a gold plated car!" She actually made me drive around the block so she could take a picture with her cell phone.
The first picture that is really close is when we drove past and you can see the reflection of our car on it's side. Then we went down and flipped a u turn and came back and I had my camera with us so I hurried and took a couple more shots as he drove off. It must be some car wrap place.
