Showing the effects changing the averaging has on the displayed numbers.

This is my first try at video editing so be gentle with me . . . :)

I need to focus on the screen so you can see what's going on besides the large channel numbers.

I need to make my graphics full screen instead of using my smaller graphics at the beginning and ending.

One thing Rick and I have been discussing is the baud rate on the new USB model DM and how it effects the readings. I was testing at 57600 and have since lowered it this past week to around 1200 and it seems to have had a real effect on the numbers coming in to be processed. The video shows 1200 numbers

I think a lot will depend on the speed of the computer you are using but I think all will see better numbers (less bouncing around) if you drop the speed down from 57600 to 2400 or less 1200, 600, 300. The end user will have to decide this for themselves though after playing with it on their flowbench setup.

I'll post more about this in the next week in the PTS DM area . . .

I don't suppose it really matters Bruce.
As long as there is plenty of adjustment range both up and down, it is then up to the user to establish by experimentation what appears to work best for them on the equipment they are using.
